What is DSO?
DSO is a merge of 3 sub-divisions (Department of Nature Resources, Crime Area Target Team, Canine Unit) on GSRP. If you join, you will become multiskilled and participate in all three certifications!
How do I join DSO?
All you have to do is attend a training in the DSO discord under "Training Academy" (no application required) Executive officers host trainings daily so there is no need to beg them by PING/DM. You must be a Trooper in Main PD for 7 days before attending certification training for CATT, DNR, or K9.
How do I become an Executive Officer in DSO?
You will need to be a current DSO member and meet application requirements. You can find more information about the application process here.
If I get certified in Canine, can I be both the Dog and Handler?
Yes, after training and passing, you can be both the Dog and Handler. This requires active patrol and proper role-play.
What is a BaitCar operation?
A BaitCar operation is an undercover CATT operation involving a vehicle left for "change of ownership" with limited details provided to catch potential thieves.
What kind of interactions will I find when active as DNR?
DNR offers unique role-play (RP) experiences, from controlling rogue mountain lions to preventing illegal offroading. You can find more examples in this document.
