


What is DSO?
The Department of Special Operations is a sub-department within GSRP. The DSO includes 3 specialized divisions: Department of Natural Resources, Crime Area Target Team and the Canine Unit all working together to assist main pd and enforce state laws.

CANINE (K-9)
The Canine Unit provides specialized K-9 support for law enforcement operations, including drug detection, search and rescue, and apprehension of suspects. Our highly trained dogs and handlers work together to enhance public safety.

CATT
The Crime Area Target Team specializes in undercover operations, bait car operations, and targeted enforcement in high-crime areas. CATT works proactively to prevent and investigate criminal activity.

DNR
The Department of Natural Resources enforces state laws related to wildlife, conservation, and natural resources. DNR officers patrol waterways, forests, and protected areas to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
